... Or so it sounds like if you go here in Thailand on the streets and the drivers of said companion to a small tour or similarly convincing want.
Our next stop was, after a 3-hour boat ride Koh Tao. Dort haben wir gelernt, wie man mit Druckluftflasche und Inflatorjacket umgeht und die wunderbare Unterwasserwelt voller Korallen und Fischschwaerme erkundet. Auch ein kleines Gewitter und relativ starken Regen durften wir aus dieser Perspektive erleben.

Nach ein paar wunderschoenen Tagen gings dann zurueck nach Bangkok um unsere Paesse mit den druckfrischen Visa fuer Vietnam wieder an uns zu nehmen. Michael hat auch noch sein Ohr, was nach dem letzten Tauchgang ein paar Probleme gemacht hat, im Krankenhaus untersuchen lassen.

Da wir leider keine USD bei uns hatten, konten wir auch in K.I.P. bezahlen, was uns dann umgerechnet guenstige 33EUR gekostet hat.

Laos macht einen sehr ruhigen Eindruck, die Menschen hier sind nicht ganz so geschaeftig wie in Thailand und die Natur ist sehr aehnlich.

Die naechsen zwei Tage, sind wir dann mit dem Boot den Mekong in Richtung Luang Prabang hinuntergeschippert. In Pakbeng, unserer Station fuer die Nacht brauchte man sich keine grossen Gedanken zu machen, wo man am besten uebernachtet. Alle Herbergen (mit Ausnahme von zwei) hatten den gleichen Preis, ungeachtet des teils sehr unterschiedlichen Standards. Am zweiten Tag, gings dann, mit anderen Booten und vielen Gitarrenklaengen weiter bis to Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang is a pretty nice piece of land at the mouth of the Nam Khan in the Mekong. Since the city is not too large, we have all explored on foot and the tranquil atmosphere enjoyed a little.
