Underworld 3 - Rise of the Lycans and doctors visits

Vor zwei Wochen habe ich Underworld 3 im Kino angesehen und dachte mir, ich tippsel mal etwas darüber (und teste, ob ich das mit dem Spoiler-Verdecken richtig hinbekomme ;-) ).

Edit: bekomme ich nicht durch die Hilfe und die vor allem verwirrende Vorschau, aber durch die liebe (nicht hauen ;-) ) diva_urd , die mir den LJ-Cut gezeigt hat.

Underworld 3 ist ganz nett für einen DVD-Abend, wenn man nichts oder wenig für die DVD zu zahlen hat. Geld für einen Kino-Besuch würde ich mir definitiv sparen, insbesondere wenn man die ersten beiden Teile gesehen hat. Und selbst wenn nicht, ist die Story vorhersehbar und irgendwie farblos (und das nicht nur weil der komplette Film mit blauen Farbfiltern gedreht wurde).

Worum es geht, wissen wir dank den ersten beiden Filmen eigentlich - der erster "richtige" Werewolf Lucian (born uninfected) falls in love with the daughter of the currently reigning Vampire Prince Victor, Sonja. The secret relationship between the two is of course still out at some point, Sonja is imprisoned and sentenced to death, Lucian (which is now fled through the help of Sonia's and another vampire, Tannis, and has cited an outbreak of werewolf slaves) returns and will free them, which of course is a trap. In the end, he has whipped half to watch as his beloved Sonja is exposed to sunlight. Victor comes at the end of execution in the hall, Lucian breaks free from the chains and spanked him den Hintern - eine der wenigen wirklich schönen Szenen, wie ich fand. Am Ende stürzt Victor totgeglaubt in die Tiefe, wird aber von Tannis zusammen mit den beiden anderen Älteren in Sicherheit gebracht - logisch, sonst könnte er ja "später" nicht in den ersten beiden Teilen mitspielen.

An Effekten mangelt es diesem Film nicht, viele sind auch hübsch animiert, manche etwas arg eckig und hölzern. Schade fand ich die teilweise sehr ruckartigen Schnitte - sicher, eine Verfolgung durch wilde Werwölfe ist temporeich, das kann man durch rasche Schnitte sehr gut unterstreichen, aber wenn das Auge Mühe hat, noch zu erkennen, was im Sekundentakt gezeigt wird, kann man auch die Animationen etwas schlampig ausführen, ist ja ohnehin sofort vorbei. 

Zur Handlungsweise des ausbrechenden Werwolfes sag ich jetzt mal nicht ganz so viel... da schafft der es, seine Zellengenossen zu befreien. Eine ganze Horde Werwölfe schon mitten in der Vampirfestung. Was... macht man da... ich würde bis zum Tag warten, schön in der Mittagshitze, viel Sonnenlicht, und meine Sklavenherren beim Mittagsschlaf umbringen... aber was machen die? Fliehen kurz vor Morgengrauen, wobei natürlich viele getötet oder aufgehalten werden (hübsche Effekte mit den Ballista-Pfeilen, the wall of the corridor right through, fly by the werewolves!), form up in a forest and then stormed the fortress at night again ... Sure, a fight with the vampires looks nicer than if they'd be massacred by the fort alone, but PLEASE, can only refer to the drama completely illogical ...

I took pity that one has to know about the origin and Entwickulung the werewolves to the shot the film yet, very little new. Much of it was told from the off ... not really learn much more than you already in the first two films has. Missed opportunity.

Nice popcorn cinema, a lot of blood and guts, relatively little drama by the known / predictable plot ... It was a nice evening with friends, but we would have better seen a different movie and it later on DVD.


From the film criticism to medical jungle ... my doctor was on during my visit yesterday just shake their heads, how many sites I've just. Why is it actually (almost) always so hard ...

... for a good story a title? As I mentioned recently (and somewhat confused guess my post was probably not ;-)) I wanted to look at the author front. I began to make some ideas that might have been something können, aber noch nicht DIE Geschichte. Abschreiben von anderen, gerade populären Geschichten möchte ich auch nicht (es begab sich dereinst vor vielen Jahren, daß ich mit meinem damals besten Freund eine Geschichte über die Abenteuer einer Ratte schrieb, weil er ein solches Haustier sein Eigen nannte... jetzt ratet mal, was für ein Thema unlängst einen Preis bei einem Nachwuchswettbewerb eingeheimst hat... und nein, leider waren wir nicht die Einsender...). Viele Ideen sind nur Abwandlungen von Büchern, die mir gut gefallen haben... ich will ja nicht das Rad neu erfinden, aber irgendwann wäre es schon gut, are published, and because a simple copy will not be enough to stand out from the crowd. 95% of all manuscripts land in the trash (some talk of 98%). So you have to find something which has to a potential to appeal to many readers - thus provides good sales numbers that interests the publisher even primarily - on the other hand, just exactly the mass of previously published publications to stand out, so it is interesting.

But at least now is the idea and now I make myself easy. On my hard drive is already a lot of beautiful novel material around in a variety of role playing. The hook dabei ist nur, das betrifft immer mehrere Figuren, nicht nur meine eigene. Also zumindest eine moralische Copyright-Verletzung würde ich in jedem Fall begehen, vielleicht sogar eine tatsächliche, würde ich Figuren und Orte exakt übernehmen oder nur simpel die Namen verändern, den Rest aber zusammenkopieren. Zudem hat jeder Rollenspieler einen unterschiedlichen Stil, das wäre wie ein zusammengebasteltes Referat aus zweifelhaften Quellen... das geht für die Schule, aber nicht für einen Roman mit ~ 300 Seiten (ja, ich habe hohe Ziele - ob und wie sich das am Ende alles umsetzen läßt, ist natürlich eine andere Frage, aber wenn ich es nicht versuche, werde ich es nie sehen, oder?)

Glücklicherweise verstehe ich mich auch außerhalb des Rollenspieles sehr gut mit meinem liebsten Rollenspielpartner, und wir haben da vor zwei Jahren mal eine Kampagne gespielt, die fast nur unsere Figuren betroffen hat. Er ist ein hervorragender Geschichtenerzähler, hat nur nicht die Geduld, sich hinzusetzen und alles zusammenzuschreiben. Ich maße mir an, auch nicht ganz schlecht dabei zu sein (sonst käme ich ja nicht auf die Idee, mit Schreiben tatsächlich eine Handvoll Münzen verdienen zu wollen - ob erfolgreich oder nicht, wie gesagt, sieht man später), and together we will do so now to work and bring the campaign in novel form. The nice - to a large extent we have the typing work done so schonmal role in the game: D It must now also "only" brought together all decorated and polished ... that will certainly cost some time but after all - the main plot is now, we have a common thread and some starting material. For the first part ... the story is in the home country to play the main character and end with the departure of the two main characters in the home of another. What happened there, must of course be told yet. Since we have still keine Vorarbeit geleistet... aber gut, erstmal Teil 1 fertigstellen, das wird noch Monate in Anspruch nehmen. Von der Suche nach einem willigen Verlag dann noch gar nicht zu reden.

Bleibt nur das altbekannte Problem, mit dem ich mich von jeher herumschlage... welchen Namen geben wir dem Kinde?
